Nearest village with restaurants and bar: Fraccano. 4 km drive.
Nearest town Città di Castello. 15 km drive. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets in the town as well as a hospital. Market days are Thursdays and Saturdays.
Best local restaurant Borghetto di Pedana in Antirata. 3 km drive.

Places to Go

There are great places to visit including the medieval hilltop towns of Anghiari and Montone (30 min drive). Montone hosts Terry Gilliam’s open-air film festival in the second week of July. Arezzo (50-minute drive) has a big antique market the first Sunday of each month. Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi and Urbino are just over an hour away. Florence and Siena are about 1 hour, 50 minutes.

There are lots of walks in the area (see books in the house or look up online). Truffle season is in the autumn. The truffle festival in Città di Castello town square is late Oct/early November.
